About Us:

Welcome to the Afghanistan Independent Radios & Television Coordination Center (AIRTCC), a dynamic network comprising 97 FM Radios and Television channels established in October 2021. AIRTCC serves as a unifying hub, fostering collaboration, and amplifying the collective strength of electronic media across Afghanistan.

In the wake of the collapse of the Afghanistan Republic Government, many media support organizations' personnel evacuated the country. Recognizing the critical need for a central voice and protective platform for electronic media, AIRTCC emerged as a pivotal force. Its 97 member Radios and TV Channels unanimously agreed to establish AIRTCC, driven by the vision of safeguarding and supporting Afghanistan's electronic media landscape.

Spanning across the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, AIRTCC's associates, comprising both Radios and TVs, collectively reach an astounding 85% of the nation's population. As an independent non-profit coordination center, each member retains autonomy in broadcasting their unique content while aligning with the overarching goals and mission of the coordination center.

Operating in strict accordance with its charter, AIRTCC upholds Islamic values, adheres to government regulations, champions human rights principles, and abides by national and international media laws and standards.

AIRTCC's core mission encompasses fortifying the rule of law, fostering consensus, and empowering self-sufficiency among its members. Central to its objectives is the unwavering commitment to safeguarding the rights of journalists and AIRTCC affiliates.

Moreover, AIRTCC is dedicated to driving revenue growth and ensuring the self-sustainability of its members. Addressing crucial challenges and seizing opportunities in today's electronic media landscape, AIRTCC focuses on advancing freedom of speech, fostering advertising growth, and exploring new revenue streams. Collaborating closely with its members and partner organizations, AIRTCC is committed to enhancing the existing framework for its affiliates.

FM Radios and TVs stand as fundamental pillars for an effective government, serving as conduits for the dissemination of information. AIRTCC acknowledges the pivotal role of a free press in keeping the populace informed about governmental actions, thereby contributing to a more transparent and accountable governance structure.

At AIRTCC, we remain steadfast in our dedication to empowering electronic media, fortifying freedom of expression, and contributing to a vibrant, informed society.

Join Us in shaping the future of media in Afghanistan.
